In Grövelsjöfjällen, fishing is highly sought after and talked about thanks to its many fine flowing waters, lakes and ponds.
Going on a fishing trip is a nature experience in itself.
In the fine natural areas on the Norwegian side, about 10-20 km from Grövelsjön, there are countless mountain lakes and flowing streams with, among other things, char and trout.

Storån winds its way through a varied landscape in Northern Dalarna between Lake Särsjön in the northwest and down to the confluence with Töfsingån in the southeast.
North of Storån lies the magnificent Töfsingdalen National Park with an almost untouched natural forest with pine trees over 400 years old. Storån passes through a number of small lakes or so-called “mocks”. The area has long been well-visited by fishermen.
In Storån, only fly fishing is allowed, that is, fishing with a fly rod, fly line and fly. Since Storån is located in a nature reserve, in addition to the right of public access, additional regulations apply to visitors.

The upper Dalälv area offers fishing opportunities for both experienced anglers and beginners. The diversity of flowing water in our country's southernmost mountain region makes the area attractive to fishermen.
Fishing permits are valid in Lake Grövelsjön and in ponds, lakes, streams and rivers to the south (not inside protected areas such as nature reserves and national parks).

For all waters within the Långfjället nature reserve, with the exception of Storån's quota fly fishing, and Grövelsjön. This fishing license applies to waters in the following protected areas in northern Älvdalen: Långfjället (with the exception of Storån's quota fly fishing), Städjan- Nipfjället-, Vedungsfjället-, Drevfjället- and Fulufjället nature reserves zone 3.
